The name for Bit House Saloon comes from two bits being a quarter and long ago a blue collar bar was referred to as a bit house (as in half a quarter). The owners were set on having a coin, but not with a head on it. Since the Morrison Bridge is next door and from the same era as their building, that was the front runner, but I explored wheat/barley, a keg, and bottles as well.
